What happens to the trees after you plant them?

Updated 5 months ago by Shawn McIntyre

They grow! Part of our process is teaching local planting communities how reforestation works and why it’s so important. Our nonprofits work with local tree planters to teach them everything they need to know about planting and managing a forest. They learn what they should and shouldn't use, what they can cut down, what they need to leave alone, and most importantly, how to responsibly care for their environment.

The training and tree planting opportunities provided make locals feel a sense of ownership and pride in their forest. On top of that, we hire guards at our reforestation sites who keep grazing animals from eating all the younger trees and prevent others from cutting down what we've planted.
